So, what is Boudoir Photography?
Boudoir photography isn't actually a new thing, but there’s been a new trend that's especially popular as a wedding day gift from a Bride to her Groom. Boudoir photos are usually taken wearing either just lingerie or nothing at all, focusing on beautiful angles and sultry poses without any tackiness.
Do I need to bring things with me?
Once your booking has been confirmed, I email all clients with a small brochure which covers how to prepare for your shoot. This includes what to wear and basic hair & makeup techniques, should you decide to do your own. I also have a number of different outfits and accessories for clients to use within shoots. However, should you have any questions or concerns on what to wear etc, I’m always happy to meet prior to our shoot.
Can I bring a friend?
You are more than welcome to bring a friend with you. However, I do ask that they are female and that clients only bring one friend as more can lead to distraction.
But I'm really nervous...!
It's completely normal to have a few nerves regarding a boudoir shoot, after all you're taking your clothes off in front of a complete stranger. The reason I love shooting boudoir so much is because people evolve in front of the camera. You see their confidence growing, and the nerves just melt away, they start to have a giggle, they start to rock what they have and they start to love it.
My approach is very friendly and relaxed, I understand that this isn't something that most women have experienced before. You have taken the biggest step and that was looking into boudoir and actually booking the shoot! After we have had a bit of a girly chat, you will be guided throughout your shoot and made to feel as comfortable as possible, and most of all you will have fun doing it!
I’m not keen on a part of my body?
As I always tell my clients, YOU are fabulous. No matter if you have curves, or lack them, marks, scars, wobbly bits, saggy bits, uneven bits, or bits that don't quite resemble what they once did. ALL women do!
With my boudoir shoots, you are free to use any of my clothing and accessories, and with careful posing and editing, you are guaranteed to look fabulous.
If there's a certain part you're particularly conscious of, just let me know and we can work together to make sure you feel amazing.
How long before I can view my images?
Online private galleries are usually available within 2-3 weeks dependent upon current workloads. However, this will be confirmed with you before the shoot.
These galleries are fully private and only you will be given the password for accessing it.
The galleries contain standard quality, watermarked images. Your chosen images will be high quality and watermark free.
How long is your Products turnaround?
Production can take 2 weeks for the 'Your eyes only' books and albums.
Our standard size prints can take up to 1 week from your order… but if you’re in a hurry, please let me know when booking and we can look into speeding things up for you.
Can I have skin retouching/airbrushing?
All images are retouched as standard. Should you have a scar or tattoo, or want a specific edit to occur, just let me know prior to the shoot.
Will my images be used on this site?
Not unless you have given full permission for them to be used on the website or on social media. I always request to use an image or two for my blog. However, you are under no obligation to do this and I completely understand the privacy of boudoir.
